Recent graduates of BSc. and MSc. MLS participated in poster presentation in the PureLIFE – Laboratory Insights for Excellence on November 24-25, 2023 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, UAE, winning the Best Display Poster Award.
The conference attracted many poster presenters from various national and international universities, providing a highly competitive environment. Ms. Nour A M and Ms. Reem AlMansoori MSc. MLS students in addition to Ms. Alaa Abdulaziz, Ms.Samar Al-Alansawi, Ms. Mariyam Shoukat Ali, and Ms. Sara Mohammed BSc. MLS students participated with 6 posters and won one of the three best poster presenter awards.
Ms. Alaa Abdulaziz received the best poster presentation in the PureLIFE by presenting her graduation project entiteled; In Vitro Evaluation Of The Antimicrobial Effect Of Common UAE Natural Herbals On Different Gram Positive And Gram Negative Bacteria.
Ms. Alaa and her colleagues Ms. Fadak Yaser, Ms.Ibtisam Jehad, and Ms.Shuroq Ahmed’s thesis work was supervised by Dr. Ahmed Luay and Ms. Devapriya in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at College of Health Sciences.
