GMU’s Anesthesia Technology Students Celebrate World Mother’s Day by conducting a Community Engagement Activity

World Mother’s Day programs raise awareness about the challenges faced by mothers worldwide, from maternal health issues to gender inequality and these kinds of initiatives drive positive change and create a more supportive environment for mothers.

Students of Anesthesia Technology Department, College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University, conducted a community activity – Motherhood awareness program on May 10, 2024 in Thumbay University Hospital celebrating the International World Mother’s Day.

Main intention of the awareness program was to improve maternal health through awareness and education.

The students and faculty had one to one interaction with mothers came to the OPD with brochures and survey questionnaires and also the volunteers discussed the advantages and disadvantages of Anesthesia during pregnancy Labour. Overall, the awareness program was a great success, and it improved the knowledge of the mothers visited the Thumbay University hospital.
