September 14th, 2023 is a memorable day in the professional life of the B.Sc. MLS 2023 newly joined students. It was their “White Coat Ceremony Day”.
This solemn occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder & President, Board of trustees and Mr. Akbar Moideen, Vice President, Healthcare division.
Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor, Gulf Medical University gave an inspirational speech highlighting their professional role towards the future healthcare achievement utilizing the unique facilities at Gulf Medical University such as implementation of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare education which is for the first time implemented in UAE health care universities. He emphasized the advantage of better learning through inter-professional education and their involvement in innovative learning through research to bring revolution in health care.
Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Vice Chancellor Academics led the administration of their honor code, and the students took their first step donning their white coats and started their professional journey declaring their honor code.
The entire solemn ceremony was telecasted, and the parents and the family members were able to attend online watching their children starting their career fulfilling their long-time dreams.
Mr. Moath Mohamed and Ms. Asia Kassem Alahmed represented their class receiving their white coats from the respected Chief guest Dr. Thumbay Moideen.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS congratulated the students and encouraged them towards a successful journey. Dr. Ahmed Luay, Chair of Medical Laboratory Sciences congratulated and motivated the students that a good beginning will assure success with the facilitation of the dedicated faculties of Medical Laboratory Sciences program.
