Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences of College of Health Sciences (CoHS), GMU welcomed and inducted new students’ of 2022 cohort of Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (MSc MLS) program on October 15th, 2022, by organizing an Orientation Program.
Orientation included a welcome address by Dr Ahmed Luay, Chair, Medical Laboratory Sciences Department, followed by detailed information on the program shared by Dr. Noha Kamal, MSc MLS Program Director, including the Program Learning outcomes, Graduation requirements and Research facilities.

Dr. Noha explained the Vision, Mission, Study plan, teaching, learning, assessment methods, the academic calendar and information related to the first semester courses followed by the introduction to lead faculty conducting different courses in the program. Further, the learning resources, IT supports services related to learning and assessment and students’ happiness centre orientation were explained in detail by the concerned staffs from the university.

The Orientation session was concluded with a tour of GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities, Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) and Thumbay labs, Ajman- diagnostic and reference lab accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
