Department of Physiotherapy of College of Health Sciences (CoHS), GMU welcomed and inducted new students’ of 2022 cohort of Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) program on September 10, 2022, by organizing an orientation program.
Orientation included a welcome address by Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS, followed by detailed information related to the Program learning outcome, graduation requirements and research facilities were shared by Dr. Ramprasad M, Chairperson of the department.

Dr. Watson, Program Director-MPT explained the Vision, Mission, Study plan, teaching, learning, assessment methods and the academic calendar followed by the introduction of the Year coordinator and lead faculty conducting different courses in the 1st year of the program. Further, the learning resources, IT supports services related to learning and assessment were explained in detail by the concerned staff from university.
Dr. Animesh, the year Coordinator elaborated the weekly schedule and examination policies and procedures.
The Orientation session was concluded with a tour of GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities, Thumbay Physical therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ajman. “The students have begun an exciting professional journey with a bright future and career ahead, especially when they will be trained in GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities under highly qualified faculty”.
