GMU, College of Health Sciences, faculty and Staff welcomed Dr. Mamdouh Gabr, who joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy. Dr. Mamdouh Gabr is from Egypt, where he began his professional career as an instructor in the paediatric department of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University. He worked as a lecturer after earning a master’s degree in paediatric physical therapy with an interest in cerebral palsy rehabilitation. He was promoted to an assistant professor after earning a doctoral degree in paediatric physical therapy from Cairo University. He has more than 12 years of experience in governmental and private educational institutions in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He has served in many positions at Buraydah Private College (BPC) in KSA as a Chairman of the Physical Therapy Department for six years and has been hired to be the head of the academic development unit of BPC for two years, as he trained more than 50 faculty members through an academic developmental plan to improve the interpersonal, academic, and communication skills of the staff members in BPC.

Dr. Mamdouh also headed the committee for the PILOs direct assessment committee for two years, dealing with more than 15 other academic programs in the BPC. He has worked at Taibah University and Cairo University for science and technology as an assistant professor of paediatric physical therapy in KSA and Egypt, respectively, for two years. He has many personal and academic skills, such as effective communication, problem-solving, time management, flexibility, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, dependability and self-motivation.
