CoHS Faculties participate in Health Professions Education Winter Boot Camp

Faculty members from College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University participated actively in the “Health Professions Education” Winter Boot Camp, which is part of the university’s master program. The boot camp covered diverse topics related to health professions education and provided opportunities for learning from experienced educators, networking, and mentorship. The goal of the program was to give the attendees current information in the field of health professions education.

Three faculty, namely Dr. Sara, Dr. Salma and Dr. Ayman from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and two faculty namely Mr. Ghazi and Mr. Nithin representing the Department of Anesthesia Technology participated in the camp. All of them were very satisfied with their experience that was enriching.

Mr. Ghazi stated, “The Bootcamp provided a wealth of information on the latest trends and theories in health professions education.”

Dr. Sara added, “The boot camp gave us valuable insight from experienced professors on topics such as student engagement, teaching strategies, and the use of technology in medical education.

Mr. Nithin also expressed his enjoyment of the discussions and interactive learning opportunities.

Dr. Salma said, “The boot camp provided me with a fresh perspective on teaching and learning. I appreciated the opportunity to network with other educators and gain new insights on how to effectively teach and engage my students.”

Dr. Ayman commented, “The program helped me to see the benefits of incorporating hands-on training and interactive workshops into my curriculum. I plan to implement these methods in my teaching to improve the overall learning experience for my students.
