American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) is the gold standard in global certification for medical laboratory professionals.
Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (BSc. MLS) program offered by Gulf Medical University is accepted in meeting the eligibility requirements for certifications offered by the ASCP Board of Certification in the 3 routes as given:
- International Medical Technology (Route 1)
- International Medical Laboratory Technician (Route 2)
- International Technologist in Molecular Biology (Route 3)
This will facilitate the graduates of the BSc MLS program to appear for the (ASCP – BOC) International Certification Exam (ASCPi) without applying for equivalency of their degree in USA.
