On May 9, 2023, students, faculty, and staff at Gulf Medical University Ajman participated in a blood donation camp organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University, in collaboration with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Centre.
The blood gift camp was pointed towards bringing issues to light about the significance of giving blood and empowering more individuals to approach and give. Before donating blood, participants were thoroughly examined to ensure their safety and eligibility.

More than 40 successful donations were made out of 70 voluntary registrations received. A component of the college’s responsibility for community service was this initiative by the committee for community engagement.
Students pursuing Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Medical Laboratory Science actively participated in this blood donation camp by educating students about the advantages of blood donation and encouraging them to give blood.
Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Centre expressed its sincere gratitude to the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Sciences, GMU, for organizing a voluntary Blood Donation Campaign in support of the humanitarian cause of saving lives.
