Department of Medical Imaging Sciences, College of Health Sciences, GMU welcomed and inducted new students of 2023 of Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences (BSc. MIS) program on August 30th, 2023, by organizing an Orientation Program.

Orientation included a welcome address by Praveen Kumar, Dean, College of Health Sciences, followed by detailed information on the program shared by Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh, Program Director, including the Program Learning outcomes, Graduation requirements and Research facilities.

Mr. Albin Wilson explained the Vision, Mission, Study plan, teaching, learning, assessment methods, mentorship program the academic calendar and information related to the first semester courses followed by the introduction to lead faculty conducting different courses in the program. Further, the learning resources, General education courses, IT supports services related to learning and assessment and Library orientation were explained in detail by the concerned staffs from the university.
Alumni of MIS, Ms. Dania shared about her journey as a graduate in MIS and gave an insight to students on her life in GMU.

Praveen Kumar, Dean, College of Health Sciences provided a comprehensive guide for navigating the transition to college life. By embracing change, managing time effectively, taking ownership of decisions, seeking support, and focusing on holistic growth, students can make the most of their university experience and set the foundation for a successful future.
Finally, freshman students were introduced to their course faculty and emails to communicate with them. The students were taken for a campus tour to show them the Lecture Halls, Transportation Desk, and other facilities available. The students were given time to clarify any doubts related to any concern they had. The ‘Orientation program’ was a memorable day for each student and gave them an overview of how exciting their life would be at GMU.
