Anesthesia Technology department of College of Health Sciences is excited to welcome and prepare incoming Anesthesia Technology students for their rigorous and rewarding journey in healthcare education.
Department of Anesthesia Technology of CoHS, GMU welcomed the 2024 cohort of the BSc AT program on August 29, 2043, by conducting an orientation program.
The program began with a welcome address and a Keynote talk from Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS, where he introduced to the University’s mission, values, and the pivotal role they will play in the future of Anesthesia Technology.
Program Director Dr Ellen Safadi, emphasized the importance of academic integrity and semester wise requirements and later the sessions continued by Mr. Nithin Raj, Semester Coordinator and awareness of Mentorship program by Ms. Aparna Baburaj and orientation to various academic facilities of Gulf Medical University Such as the Library, Learning Management System and registrars talk regarding equivalency certification from MOE from Mr. Daies Idiculla, Mr. Suraj Sebastian and Mr. Aslam Kutty respectively.
Students could interact with Ms. Farah Jarbou, Anesthesia Technologist alumni about her experiences with the University and licensing process and after refreshments they could attend sessions related to student affairs department in which facilities for students of determination, student wellbeing center, Hospitality division and Health club is discussed by Ms. Burcu Aydin, Director of student affairs department.
Overall Student Orientation Program is designed to be a cornerstone of the student experience, setting the stage for academic success and professional growth. As students transition into their roles as future healthcare experts in the field of Anesthesia Technology, the Gulf Medical University remains committed to providing ongoing support and resources to help them thrive.
