Department of Anesthesia Technology of CoHS, GMU welcomed the 2022 cohort of the BSc AT program on September 8, 2022, by conducting an orientation program.
Orientation included a welcome address by the Dean, CoHS, followed by detailed information related to the study plan, graduation requirements were shared by Dr. Ellen Safadi, Program Director. Information related to the semester and the details of all courses was explained by Mr. Gurulingappa Herakal, semester coordinator. Lead faculty conducting different courses were introduced and information related to learning resources, different student supports services, students’ happiness center and procedures and policies to be followed in the university were explained in detail. A tour of the facilities including GMU’s simulation center and Thumbay University Hospital ended with a get together between students and faculty.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, College of Health Sciences commented: “It is a great pleasure to welcome our 2022 cohort of BSc AT program students. Students have begun an exciting professional journey with a bright future and career ahead, especially when they will be trained in GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities under highly qualified faculty. He laid stress on the importance of professional life and lifelong learning process”.
