
On September 28, College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University, held its annual white coat ceremony for its new students-batch of 2017. Students of different programs of Physiotherapy, Nursing, Laboratory Sciences, Imaging Sciences and Anesthesia and Surgical Technology were inducted into their chosen profession in this symbolic event. Students of all these programs took the oath of health professional put on their white coats in an inspirational and moving event that was attended by students, families and college and university officials.

Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder and President of the Board of Trustees was the Chief Guest and presided over the ceremony. Chancellor, Professor Hossam Hamdy delivered the ceremony speech and welcomed the students to the dynamic college and university and their professions. Chancellor in his address stressed the importance of various health professionals in the delivery of health care and also highlighted the changing trend in health education and motivated the students to gear up for the future requirements of work place. Provost, Professor Gita Ashok Raj, led the recitation of the oath and the Dean, respective Program directors and faculty members welcomed the students and wished them a fruitful professional journey.
