Annual Career Fair and Industry Partners Meet 2025 conducted on 8th May 2025 commenced with a special panel comprising the Deans of all the colleges at Gulf Medical University (GMU) provided an in-depth overview of their respective academic programs, highlighting unique features, interdisciplinary opportunities, and the vision driving each curriculum.

The fair continued with a panel discussion consisting of distinguished leaders in health education who examined the competencies of graduates, highlighting both their strengths and areas for improvement. The panel also offered strategic recommendations to bridge these identified gaps. This was followed by an insightful discussion led by senior industry leaders on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, underscoring its potential to significantly enhance service delivery.
The third panel discussion on Human Resources emphasized the importance of adopting AI as a collaborative tool within the professional environment. The panel discussions culminated in an engaging workshop dedicated to the development of professional portfolios. Participants were guided on the essential components of an impactful portfolio, effective organization strategies, and techniques to leverage it for a competitive edge in the job market.

Overall, the event provided a valuable space for meaningful exchange, professional development, and networking. Bachelor’s, Master’s students and alumni gained exposure to emerging trends, engaged with experts, and explored diverse career opportunities in physiotherapy.

Ms. Fai Abdelaziz Mohamed Ali (2021PT14), Final Year BPT student commented: The career fair at Gulf Medical University was a great experience. I learned a lot and got to meet new people who helped me explore different opportunities and guided me toward possible career paths. Glad I was able to attend it and looking forward to connecting through LinkedIn.
Mr. Balaabishek Ramaprabaharan (2021PT08), another Final Year BPT student said: “I was truly stunned to see the number of stalls represented by world class hospitals and medical firms present at the fair. The representatives of these stalls all provided great insight into the job market, openings, internship opportunities, how to get your CV known and other interactive sessions held at the lecture halls. As a near graduate physiotherapist from GMU, this fair was a much-needed boost to my career prospects and was an eye-opening experience”.
Alumni were also glad to return to campus for the event, Ms. Neda Yousef Pour (2023MPT07), an alumnus of physiotherapy and post-graduate said: “I found myself not only sharing my own journey but also guiding students through the different pathways available, from further studies to clinical practice.”
The event also included felicitation of distinguished guests and contributors.
