2024 Cohort Orientation: Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences – A New Beginning

On August 29th, 2024, the Department of Medical Imaging Sciences at the College of Health Sciences, GMU, warmly welcomed and inducted the new students of the 2024 Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences (BSc. MIS) program through an engaging Orientation Program.

The Orientation began with a welcome address from Praveen Kumar, Dean of the College of Health Sciences. Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh, Program Director, then provided an in-depth overview of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences program. This included details on the program’s learning outcomes, graduation requirements, and available research facilities.

Mr. Albin Wilson provided a comprehensive overview of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences program, covering the Vision and Mission, Study Plan, teaching and learning methods, assessment strategies, and the mentorship program. He also detailed the academic calendar and information about first-semester courses.

Additionally, university staff elaborated on essential learning resources, IT support services for learning and assessment, and Library orientation.

Alumni of MIS, Ms. Dania, shared her inspiring journey since graduating and gave students an exciting glimpse into her life at GMU!

Students had the opportunity to address any concerns and clarify doubts during the orientation program. The event proved to be a memorable day for everyone, offering a glimpse into the exciting experiences that await them at GMU.
