On 29th August 2024, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences welcomed the B.Sc. MLS 2024 cohort new joiners by conducting an orientation program.
The orientation began with a welcome address by the Dean, who extended a heartfelt greeting to the students, emphasizing the significance of their choice to pursue a career in medical laboratory sciences. He highlighted the university’s commitment to providing a quality education and the importance of the role that medical laboratory professionals play in the healthcare system.
Dr. Ahmed Luay, Chairperson, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, expressed his excitement to welcome the new cohort. He explained the academic calendar and the academic integrity at GMU.
The session was followed by an address by the semester coordinator, who provided an in-depth explanation of the courses the students would be undertaking and overall educational progression. Students were informed about the expectations, assessment methods, and resources available to them.
The event set a positive tone for the semester, leaving the students feeling motivated and ready to embark on their educational journey at Gulf Medical University.
