Students and Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences, CoHS participate in “Medlab Middle East 2024”

Students and Faculty of the BSc. MLS Program, College of Health Sciences participated in “Medlab Middle East 2024,” which was held in Dubai on February 5-8, 2024.

In the “Medlab Middle East 2024” event, two posters presented by the BSc. MLS students competed in the scientific poster competition.

The poster entitled “Effectiveness of Well-Controlled Type 2 Diabetes and Lower Risk of Hyperthyroidism in Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman” was selected as one of the top ten contenders. Ms. Maryam Shawkat Ali, Ms. Ayman Najafi, and Ms. Aseela Hamed performed this research under supervision of Dr. Salah Eldin and Mr. Marwan Ismail.

One of the top thirty posters was selected, with the title ” In Vitro evaluation of the antimicrobial effect of common UAE natural herbals on different gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria“. This research was conducted by Ms. Alaa Abdulaziz, Ms. Fadak Yaser, Ms. Ibtisam Jehad and Shuroq Ahmed, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Luay and Ms. Deva Priya Finney.
