Sarcopenia, age-related loss of muscle mass and strength, is a growing concern in the healthcare industry. This Faculty Development Program was designed to provide valuable insights into the clinical assessment and management of Sarcopenia that was conducted online on 12.10.2023. Participants had good opportunity to learn from a distinguished expert in the field, Dr. Ganesh V Sankarrajan, PT.DPT. OCS, GCS.

Biography of Dr. Ganesh V Sankarrajan:
Dr. Ganesh V Sankarrajan is an accomplished healthcare professional, holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas Tech University of Health Sciences. He currently serves as a Clinical Instructor, Physical Therapist III, and Physical Therapy Residency Mentor at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Sankarrajan is recognized as an ABPTS-board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics and geriatrics, a testament to his dedication and expertise in these areas.
Furthermore, Dr. Sankarrajan is actively involved in clinical practice, clinical training and research, with a particular focus on secondary sarcopenia in liver cirrhosis patients. His research interests also extend to fall prevention and readmission risk in hospitals, with a keen emphasis on sarcopenia outcome measures.

This Faculty Development Program provided an invaluable educational experience for professionals in the healthcare and educational sectors. A deeper understanding of Sarcopenia, practical clinical assessment methods, and discover effective strategies for managing this prevalent condition were discussed.
