Physiotherapy students of CoHS, GMU attended Emirates Sports Medicine Conference (ESMC) 2023, Dubai

Physiotherapy students namely Mr. Omar Ahmadi (2020PT11), Mr.Muhammad Abdullah (2020PT33, Mr. Mohammed Fadl Rasheed (2020PT20), Ms. Someya Dawood Bahadori (2022MPT04) and Ms. Wajiha Anwar (2022MPT06) actively participated in Emirates Sports Medicine Conference (ESMC) 2023, conducted at MBRU, Dubai, on 13th and 14th May 2023.

The ESMC was a dynamic gathering of sports performance experts. During the event, students took part in informative discussions and interactive workshops ranging from football medicine to taping techniques. Key topics included injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and performance optimization for athletes of all skill levels. The conference provided a platform for networking and collaboration, allowing participants to share ideas and best practices. Focused on evidence-based practice and the latest advances in sports medicine and physiotherapy, the conference helped and supported budding physiotherapists to have the opportunity to be sports physiotherapists in their mission to help athletes reach their full potential. CoHS, Faculty, and Division of Physiotherapy, appreciated the sponsors and ESMC2023 committee for the initiative in UAE. Students participated and shared the experience of conference activities led by Dr. Ramprasad.M and final year student group as a Transformative approach, an accelerated tool for learning by revisiting experience.
