Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, CoHS, organized a carrier advising session on “GENE THERAPY PROGRESS CHANGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS” On Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, at Gulf Medical University.
The session was conducted by an expert speaker Dr. Asawari Bapat, MD, P.G.D.H.H.M, CABP(H). International Ambassador AABB (Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies), USA. VP Infohealth & Questar Enterprises, Dubai UAE. Director of Regenerative Medicine Services, MEMP, London, UK and Consultant, Regenerative Outcomes, Nashville, NT, USA.
The session was very interactive, students and faculty learn updated knowledge in the field. The number of participants reaches more than 45 audients of UG and PG students and faculty.

Dr. Asawari started the session by giving Information about Regenerative Medicine, which focused on developing and applying new treatments to heal tissues and organs and restore function lost due to ageing, disease, damage or defects followed by detailed information related to highlighting the principles and application of gene therapy progress and opportunities for the laboratory professionals.

Dr. Asawari were recognized by the chairperson of the MLS department Dr. Ahmed Luay for her time and for sharing cutting edge information.
