GMU BSc. MLS Graduates Present their Research at 2nd Annual Conference of the Emirates Society of Clinical Microbiology (ESCM)

Ms. Reem Alshehhi, Najma Abdikadir, and Asma Taha a graduate of BSc. MLS program, CoHS, GMU (2017 cohort) have presented their undergraduate research work in the “2nd Annual Conference of the Emirates Society of Clinical Microbiology (ESCM)”, held on 7-9 December 2022 at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The students’ research poster titled “Diffractive phase interferometry (DPI), CRP and COVID-19 PCR in COVID-19 Patients with Different Ages in AJMAN, UAE: A Comparative Study” that they conducted at GMU under the supervision of Dr. Hassan Higazi, Assistant Professor, MLS, CoHS.

This event focused on the theme “Infectious diseases and anti-microbial resistance”. The poster presentation focused on comparison of techniques used for diagnosis of Covid-19.
