Ms. Shabina Qureshi a graduate of MPT, CoHS, participated as a speaker and delivered a talk on “Prevalence and Predisposing factors of knee Osteoarthritis among the adult population of Al Madam city, Sharjah” at the 8th Biennial Emirates Physiotherapy Conference on the 15th and 16th of October 2022 held in Conrad, Dubai, which was well appreciated by the delegates and international fraternity.

Ms. Qureshi highlighted the importance of conducting this study to identify the burden of disease in society as it is the most common reason for impairment in the general population. She also suggested that the findings of the study lay the foundation for adopting appropriate prevention and rehabilitation strategies in the healthcare continuum of knee OA and reducing the economic burden cost by identifying it at an earlier stage.
