On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, the Department of Medical Imaging Sciences at CoHS held a demonstration session in collaboration with the Organon corporation. The team was led by Mr. Jospeh Safa and Mr. Feras Ashames.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS, Dr. Mohammad Rawashedeh, Program Director, as well as other MIS faculty members, staff members, and students, participated in the session.
3D Organon is a medical & healthcare education platform for teaching and learning anatomy across virtual reality. It is the world’s first fully featured VR anatomy software. The software includes over 12.000 anatomical structures across 15 body systems, showcasing new features such as an ultrasound VR Simulator, refactored body actions, microscopic models, and new environments among others. The platform includes an extensive knowledge base of anatomical definitions available in multiple languages.

The demonstration was followed by an interactive session wherein the faculty and students interacted with the team regarding the software and got a hands-on experience with the VR software.

Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh, Program Director, commented, the use of technology provides us with the opportunity to experience new things and to bring education into a new era. Our liquid learning process is active, collaborative, applied, and personalized.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS commented, that as a Faculty of Health Sciences, we believe it is crucial for students and the entire community to understand this new reality, and so we integrate these technologies into the classroom and campus life.

Following the session, feedback from student representatives revealed that the software would benefit their future learning and improve their educational experience.
