The advisory committee meeting of the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department was held on 30th June 2022. The Committee constitutes academic, clinical experts locally and globally and the alumni.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS welcomed the attendees and gave an overview of CoHS and MLS department.
Dr. Ahmed Luay introduced the members of the MLS Employer Liaison and Advisory Committee, he also presented an overview of BSc. MLS program curriculum, faculty, admission, research and students. Further he briefed the members on the action taken since last advisory board meeting and the status of full accreditation process of the program.
Dr. Noha Kamal presented an overview of MSc. MLS program curriculum, faculty, admission, and research, also she gave an overview of the assessment pattern of the program, and the action taken since last advisory board meeting.
Members expressed satisfaction on the action taken in the curriculum and consideration of the advisory board suggestion during the last meeting. Also, they recommended some changes and reviews regarding the first year. For advanced year, they suggested some changes in the credit hours for some courses.
Proposal of international accreditation of the programs was welcomed by all members.
