The qualifier matches of Neymar Jr’s Five football were held at Thumbay Grounds in the Gulf Medical University (GMU) campus in Al Jurf, Ajman on Wednesday, 8^th March 2017. Hosted by Body & Soul Health Club & Spa, the award winning network of health clubs operated by the hospitality division of Thumbay Group, the tournament attracted a number of visitors including students of GMU, Body & Soul members and football enthusiasts from across Ajman.

Neymar Jr’s five is a new concept of football founded by Brazil’s soccer captain Neymar. It is a five a side tournament for youth 16-25 years with two players who can be over 25 years of age. It is taking place in 54 countries and the winner from each country will get paid trip to Brazil where they will play in front of Neymar.

Mr. Farhad C, Director of Thumbay Group’s hospitality division said that Body & Soul was proud to host such an important tournament, popular with football fans worldwide. “We are happy that Thumbay Grounds and Body & Soul were chosen to partner this new and highly popular format of football. Considering it’s fun, fast and technical nature, it was a new, but interesting challenge for us. We are glad the teams, the participants and the organizers liked our facilities,” he added.

A total of 15 qualifier rounds are happening across the 7 Emirates of UAE. 32 teams are participating in the matches at GMU.
