My trip to Korea with the GMU student group was beyond amazing. It was so much fun! I learned so many new things about the Korean culture. We tried all sorts of Korean food which was delicious. We also learned how to ski and played with the snow which was my first time ever to see snow. The tour also included a visit to Asan medical centre, the biggest and best hospital in South Korea. We were introduced to their staff and the techonology that they use. We learned about the surgeries performed there and we also were told that many students from Saudi Arabia are doing their internship there which is interesting. Lastly we were taken shopping and to an amazing musical play that was so much fun. Overall the trip was really great! It was not only fun, but also educational.

I had always wanted to visit South Korea and I recently had the chance to spend a week in this amazing country . It is an interesting place with a unique culture and a highly developing economy.I flew into the capital Seoul. On arrival in the city, it was the marked contrast between modern skyscrapers and high design shopping malls and shanty towns that was immediately striking. Wide streets lined by fancy boutiques lead to a labyrinth of narrow alleyways with tiny traditional shops and eateries and there is a clutch of great tourist attractions. Also the tour included a visit to Asan medical center, the biggest and best hospital in South Korea In the end I wanna thank our Supervisor (Mrs : Burcu ) for take care for all the GMU students

South Korea was my dream country to visit and when the opportunity arose, I went as fast as I could and signed up. I was excited the whole time until the day I travelled. The experience I had with the university, coming to this country learning soo much about it. Falling in love with it all over again, was such an amazing experience. I will gladly do this again with university and I loved meeting new people who have the same interest as me. I enjoyed it a lot.

South Korea has been my dream country since I was a kid and now that I actually visited it, I feel like I’ve achieved one of my dreams. I loved everything about the trip, the culture, the food, the hype, the attractions just exceeded my expectations. I’ve learned a lot and actually bettered my Korean language. I was lucky enough to visit the biggest hospital in Seoul and it was a motivation for me! This is the second trip( Europe, summer 2018) I attended with university and I look forward to more.

My trip exploring Seoul and Busan with my fellow GMU students is one of the most memorable experience . We visited a variety of places that both educated us and entertained us , like the Palace where we learnt about the Korean history and saw the soldier exchange ceremony. We also visited Asan Medical center which is one of the biggest hospitals in Korea , we were amazed by the amount of surgical procedures performed each day and how mordern and efficient they work , the hospital had everything you could imagine , from a karaoke room to the world’s high technology helping them in research . It was very impressive . We also visited Lotte world and the ski resort where we played with snow . Overall it was an amazing trip where I made new friends and learnt a great deal about the Korean culture .
Thank You ,

The trip was a remarkable experience that I learned a lot from. The museum, hospital, fishmarket, small villages. Everything was so fun starting from the bus rides till the very last moment. I’ve managed to learn my own name in korean, and how to sing an old folk song. The customs and the people are so traditional and polite. I’d want to repeat this again a million times again.

As 2019 started , I was most excited to join the trip to South Korea on the 7th of January 2019. Upon arrival to Seoul, the beautiful city immediately intrigued and amazed me by the beautiful architecture and its skyscrapers. The next few days were filled with a lot of activities which I thoroughly enjoyed. These included visiting the famous shopping streets Myeongdong , Hongdae and Insidong which had a variety of shops and stalls including delicious street food. Moreover , my favorite part of the shopping streets were the various performers who had showcased their amazing talents on the streets. We were also given the honor to visit the largest and most famous hospital in Seoul, Asan hospital where we were given a tour of the hospital and it’s numerous facilities. Moreover, we visited ancient castles and we got a brief yet ancient story about the history of Seoul. Our trip ended in Busan which was a beautiful city filled with culture , lights and shopping streets

My visit to South Korea with the GMU group was breathtaking. Not only did I have an amazing time, but I also learned so much; especially about the medical advances we saw in Asan Medical Hospital that made want to come back here for practice in the future. The scenery of the beautiful city of Seoul and all the history it has is fascinating. Experiencing snow and skiing for the first time was the highlight of my trip. Overall, I had an amazing time and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

The trip was very well put and fun for all those attending. We accumulated a lot of knowledge and went to more than one popular Korean destination and had some of the best food experiences ever. The trip brought many of the students together strengthening the bonds that were already made. The hospital visit could’ve been better but other than that the trip was a major success.
Ali Demyati, 1st MBBS 2018
The Korean experience was amazing, we have been educated on the Korean culture and we even took a day to look at the Korean medical advancements in Asan Medical Center.

My trip to korea was splendid! It was really fun. We’ve done everything that has to do with korean culture. Tried their clothes, their food, visited their palace and learned few korean words! The ski trip was the highlight personally. I have never been skiing before so that was nice. Asan hospital is another chapter. One of the most highly equipped hospitals ive been to. The surgical procedures we have been presented to were extremely precised and innovative. Loved the hospital. It was one of the best trips ive been to overall.Thank you to whoever made it work.

Dear Ms Burcu and GMU management
I would like to start and say how grateful I am for GMU for arranging this wonderful trip more to add I would like to say thank you to Ms Brucu for joining us and making this trip more fun.
This trip was an educational sight seeing trip, a trip that includes education about the culture and life of South Korean’s and sight seeing of the beautiful, pure, and clean nature they have.
In this trip, most of us got to experience and try things we have never done from before and this leaves a great wonderful memory in our mind and heart. To add, we got to meet new people from GMU and make friendships.
We have visited a lot of places in South Korea and from a personal perspective, they were all amazing. From the wonderful educational visit of the biggest hospital in Seoul which is known as Asan Medical Center and learning about all the advanced technology they use to all the Skiing that we made and finally the funniest and wonderful musical chef show we got to watch.
Never forget all the Korean cosmetic shopping experience in Myeongdong. We have also visited the N Seoul tower that showed a wonderful overview of Seoul.
This trip was an awesome experience and now I will always be looking for more trips with GMU.
Thank you GMU
Thank you Ms Burcu

My trip to South Korea went above and beyond my expectations. We learned how to skii, visited Seoul Tower, and tried on the traditional Korean clothes, Hanbok. We also visited Asan hospital in Seoul, and it was a great experience! I was very surprised by how organized their system is and how much they have achieved ever since they had opened. Other than that, I learned a lot about the Korean culture from our tour guide and from the city. I would love to come back here someday!

The Korea trip was one I will tell my children and grandchildren. It was filled with wonderful views of nature, delicious food and entertaining perferomers. Streets were the best part, you’d never know what you can find. From weird large octopus, to car keys. Literally unpredictable, yet thrilling. I loved the trip and would recommend going with your friends, they’ll make it a memorable stay. Wallow wallow

In my opinion the trip to South Korea with the students of Gulf Medical University was an amazing experience. I had the chance to meet and get to know all the people who were on the trip. We got to learn about the history of the places we visited and we learned about the culture. In addition to, we had the opportunity to visit one of the best hospitals in South Korea, Asan Medical, where we got to see how they work with the latest technologies and the different departments of the medical field. We also got to see The Wall Of Hope, which is a wall filled with the patients drawings in what they want to do once they get out of the hospital. At the end of the day it was fun and educational.

I never expected to go to South Korea with my university. This was one of the most beautiful experiences that I have ever had. I was fascinated by the technology, organization, and simplicity of South Korea. My time spent in The city Seoul was great. Everyday was a new adventure and a chance to learn something new. In this trip I learned a lot about Korean history which made me appreciate every block in this country. Amongst the fascinating trips was the one to the Asan Medical Center. This hospital is the definition of perfection and respect. I loved the idea of the wall of hope where patients would draw on a tile what they would do after being cured. Busan is another story. The colored houses of the Gamcheon village were so beautiful and added a mesmerizing touch to the view of the mountains. Thank you Mrs.Burcu for everything. This was truly an unforgettable experience.

This trip to Korea is amazing, it was just perfect. It’s the best trip I’ve had. We went to Asan hospital and learned about their treatments, then we went to a ski resort. We had a great time in the theme park. We didn’t only have fun but educated as well.
