On May 10^th 2024, Gulf Medical University (GMU) hosted a dynamic School Career Counsellors’ Summit, opening doors to a numerous of educational pathways for aspiring students. The event served as a platform for career counsellors to explore GMU’s diverse colleges and programs, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Dr. Naglaa Ashmawy, Coordinator of International Foundation Programs at GMU, revealed two newly launched programs designed to empower students with the skills and knowledge required for success in medical education and beyond. The first, an International Foundation Program offered by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, strategically prepares students for further studies in Germany and Austria. The second, GMU’s International Medical Foundation Program, which is tailored to equip students with academic excellence necessary for pursuing medical, dental, pharmaceutical, biomedical, veterinary, nursing, and healthcare management programs acting as a foundation for students transitioning from high school to prestigious international medical programs in countries such as the UK, US, China, India, and many others.

Professor Manda Venkatramana, Vice Chancellor of Academics, underscored the pivotal role of the School Career Counsellors’ Summit at Gulf Medical University, emphasizing its significance in facilitating informed educational choices for aspiring students.

The summit provided an immersive experience for counsellors offering them a comprehensive tour of GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities and university hospitals. This firsthand exposure allowed counsellors to gain valuable insights into the educational environment and resources available to prospective students.

Mrs. Sherly, Director of Admissions, emphasized the university’s dedication to providing holistic support to students throughout their educational journey. She reiterated GMU’s commitment to fostering a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and professionally.
