Interprofessional Scholarly Research to improve patient centered communication

College of Health Sciences Year- I students from B.Sc. MlS, B.Sc. MLS and B.Sc. AT programs had displayed their communication skills end term assignment in the form of an e-poster tilted of “Interprofessional Scholarly Research to improve patient centered communication” on 24th May 2022. The theme of this work is to learn together, work together and progress together was a sustainable education system. The idea was conceptualized by the course lead Ms. Sivapriya Ramakrishnan, Lecturer, Department of Physiotherapy, and the students were divided into inter-professional groups from the beginning of the semester until the end which helped to improve their collaborative nature and strong communication skills.

Embracing Equity, Diversity and Belongingness in higher education has significant impact in student learning experiences. One such experience is for the students to perform an authentic assessments. The students worked in synchrony and presented their Scholarly research on improving patient centered communication using various approaches. The e-poster competition was judged by faculty from department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Imaging Sciences, Anesthesia Technology and Physiotherapy.
