The QA&IE Deanship Conducts Workshop on Outcomes-Based Evaluation Framework

The Quality Assurance & Institutional Effectiveness (QA&IE) Deanship at Gulf Medical University (GMU) successfully conducted an interactive workshop on “The CAA Outcomes-Based Evaluation Framework” on Friday, February 28, 2025. Led by Prof. Ibrahim Elsayed, Dean of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, and Dr. Sara Osman, Associate Dean of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness. The session aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding of evolving accreditation requirements and institutional compliance.

The workshop provided valuable insights into the updates on the CAA’s outcomes-based evaluation framework, with a focus on practical approaches for continuous improvement in academic programs. Faculty members engaged in discussions on strategies for implementing and aligning their programs with the CAA’s accreditation standards, ensuring quality enhancement and institutional effectiveness. Discussions covered key updates on the Program Effectiveness Report, course files, and institutional policies, helping faculty align their programs with accreditation standards. Additionally, the session included a walkthrough of the QA portal, where participants were shown how to access essential alumni, student, curriculum, and research Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Through this session, the QA&IE Deanship reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring quality enhancement and institutional effectiveness at GMU. The deanship extends its appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and contributions to the discussion.
