The Meta Research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS), in partnership with SciTech Strategies Inc. and Elsevier Inc.’s Research Intelligence division, annually compiles a global database of standardized citation metrics for scientists across various scientific fields. They use Elsevier’s Scopus database, widely used by academia, governments, and industry for accessing peer-reviewed research. This database ranks researchers globally and provides a standardized citation index to measure their impact.
