On September 28 and 29, 2022, Dr. Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Associate Dean – Academic, College of Pharmacy, Dr. Heba Mohamed Abdelaal, Assistant Professor, College of Dentistry, Dr. Janita Rita Assistant Professor, College of Medicine and Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh, Associate Professor, College of Health Sciences took part in the workshop “Building an Effective Academic Advising System in Support of Student Success”. Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, the founder and CEO of CLICKS in the United Arab Emirates, conducted the session, which was hosted by the Center for Learning Innovations & Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS).

Using technological tools to enhance academic advising, institutional systems for academic advising, and best practices for evaluating academic advising were just a few of the numerous topics covered in the event. After engaging in group activities and discussions, the participants were able to determine which advising philosophies, approaches, and models were best suited for their students. They also realized how important it is to integrate technology into academic advising and work collaboratively with other members to create and deliver a cohesive learning experience for our students.
