Institutional Research Office

The Institutional Research Office supports and facilitates the research goal of GMU to become a leading research institution at the national and international level, to enable excellence in research and innovation, by providing high-quality services to investigators and by fostering new research initiatives.

The Institutional Research Office duties and responsibilities are to:

  • Provide regulatory support through updating all colleges about all research opportunities such as grants, workshops, conferences, upcoming seminars and international collaborations.
  • Provide research training and development such as workshops on grant writing or research ethics.
  • Coordinate research collaborations and partnerships.
  • Support and assisting the researchers to obtain ethical approval for research projects through communicating with the IRB of GMU.
  • Manage the research budget through tracking expenses, preparing budget reports, and ensuring that research activities are conducted within budget constraints.
  • Facilitate grant and proposal submission by assisting researchers with the development and submission of grant and funding proposals and may provide guidance on funding sources and requirements.
