Gulf Medical University (GMU) recently participated in a strategic meeting with e& at the e& Innovation Hub on December 16, 2024, to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at enhancing education and healthcare through digital innovation. The meeting was attended by prominent leaders from GMU and Thumbay Group, including Dr. Thumbay Moideen, President of Thumbay Group, Dr. Vinaytosh Mishra, Director of the Thumbay Institute for AI in Healthcare, and Suraj Sebastian, IT Lecturer and e-Learning Manager at GMU. The e& delegation was led by Fadi Shannah, VP e& Enterprise Sales, and included senior executives and technical experts. Discussions focused on AI-driven solutions for clinical decision support, enhancing digital education with AI-integrated tools, and introducing sustainable solutions to improve campus efficiency.

As a key participant, Suraj Sebastian represented GMU during the discussions, contributing insights on aligning innovative digital solutions with the university’s academic and healthcare goals. The session concluded with actionable steps to organize dedicated workshops on AI solutions for healthcare, Devices as a Service (DaaS) models for students and faculty, and the implementation of Smart Campus Solutions. This collaboration highlights GMU’s proactive approach to integrating emerging technologies, reinforcing its commitment to innovation in higher education and healthcare excellence.
