GMU Master in Clinical Pharmacy Students publish on Interprofessional Education

On June 9, 2020, Master in Clinical Pharmacy students (Jumana Al-Salloum and Ghada AlAni) published a commentary article in Innovations in Pharmacy Journal titled [Interprofessional Care of Emergency Department Doctors and Pharmacists: Crossing a Collaboration Chasm]. This work is a fruit of an interprofessional collaboration between doctors and pharmacists in emergency care. The article highlighted the importance of this collaboration between both professions and its great impact on patient-care. Doctors view on the important role of clinical pharmacist in emergency department was supported by Dr. Baljindar (MD) former head of emergency department in Thumbay Hospital Ajman. Authors recommended to establish an interprofessional education in medical colleges, which is the case happening at Gulf Medical University, this shall provide better collaborative practices. This publication is part of many others done by post graduate students at GMU who are engaged in multiple scholarly activities beside the MCP research project to enrich their experience in pharmacy practice publications
