On September 23, 2022, the QA&IE unit conducted a workshop on: Student Mentorship, E-Portfolio and Cohort Analysis. Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor Quality & Global Engagement and Dean, College of Pharmacy introduced the session that was facilitated by Dr. Ibrahim Elsayed, Director of the QA&IE Unit. The workshop was attended by the chancellor Prof. Hossam Hamdy and more than 100 faculty members from across different colleges.

Prof. Sherief Khalifa explained how the new modifications and developments in QAIE Portal will contribute to organizing the mentor-mentee meetings and how the cohort analysis system will provide the faculty with accurate information in a short time.
Dr. Ibrahim Elsayed provided a thorough demonstration of how the new student mentorship system will be more user-friendly and integrate cases reported by the faculty coordinators, the new e-portfolio and student grades with the mentorship system. Moreover, it will enable the mentor to access and edit all previous meeting minutes.
In addition, he also emphasized how the e-portfolio will enable students to build their own portfolio, share it with their mentors, receive feedback, and access their portfolio as a link even after graduation. Moreover, it will enable the colleges to have longitudinal evidence and analysis of PLOs’ achievement.

Furthermore, Dr. Ibrahim demonstrated the interactive dashboard of cohort analysis that will enable each program director to access attrition rates, on-time graduation, average cGPA, students under probation and course pass rate.
At the end of the session, Prof. Sherief and Dr. Ibrahim addressed the queries from the audience. The recorded session is available through the below links:
