On March 2, 2022, we were honored with the visit of Ms. Julie Till, Head of Business Development, International & Professional Services, Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
The visit included a tour of the university campus:
- GMU Academic Health Center (Thumbay University Hospital, The Dental Hospital and the Rehabilitation Center)
- Thumbay Labs
- The Center of Advanced Simulation Center
- Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine
This was followed by a meeting with Chancellor Professor Hossam Hamdy, Vice Chancellor Academics, Professor Manda Vankatrmana and Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global engagement, Professor Sherief Khalifa.
In June of 2021, Gulf Medical University received international accreditation for 5 years from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), UK’s independent quality body and a global leader in quality assurance for higher education (Link).
In February 2022, GMU joined the international membership of QAA to become part of the international community of higher education institutions around the world that are accredited by QAA and to enjoy access to materials, reports, conferences and networking opportunities all with the aim of continuous quality improvement of GMU’s academic programs.
