The 2nd Quality Assurance Framework workshop on Enhancing Course File Review System was organized by the QA&IE Unit on 25th November 2021. The session was facilitated by Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement and Dr. Ibrahim Elsayed, Director Quality Assurance & Institutional Effectiveness Unit.
Prof. Sherief Khalifa introduced the newly developed course file review system and explained how it will ensure that all course files will meet the expectations as per Annex 16 of the CAA standards. Then, Dr. Ibrahim explained the key features of a model course file that will be used by all GMU faculty members as guidance. The session highlighted the new features introduced in the existing course file submission application to improve flexibility and ease of submission. Further, the session demonstrated how various important reports such as Exam Taker report, Category Report, Summary report can be extracted from ExamSoft and attached as evidence in the course files.
