About MASE

An initiative of Gulf Medical University – Ajman, MASE is the biggest annual inter-school medical and science exhibition. Held over two days, students from leading schools across the UAE showcase their projects, working models, posters and paintings based on science and medicine, competing with each other for a total prize money of AED 50,000 as well as individual, team and championship titles.

GMU MASE is one of the most awaited annual events for schools since its inception. Its popularity as a serious science-oriented event among high school students is unparalleled. Through the event, GMU aims to provide a platform for the young students to display their creative talents in the field of medicine and science and instill in them an interest in medical and science-based careers.

The event also inspires the students towards exploring and developing their knowledge further, and cultivates in them analytical thinking and scientific skills, besides imparting valuable lessons in teamwork and the importance of cooperating with each other to solve local and global technological issues. It also challenges the students to think out of the box and imbibes in them scientific temper and the spirit of innovation.

The event encompasses of Six main categories in the student exhibition:

• Painting Category (Digital painting, Picture competition & Canvas)
• Poetry
• Music
• Business Idea (New Category)

Students are judged on the following:

• Theme/Topic/Concept
• Knowledge about the Exhibit
• Presentation Skills
• Creativity / Innovation

Beyond the exhibits from the participating students, visitors benefit from the Campus Tour of different departments/Colleges and state-of-the-art campus tour.
