Thumbay Network of Academic Hospitals
Thumbay Group Hospitals are a state-of-the-art network of hospitals with the highest levels of patient and technology-driven care provided to people all across UAE and wider Middle East. This is done with the help of highly qualified professionals with a wide-ranging experience and expertise. Thumbay Hospital, Ajman is the Teaching Hospital of Gulf Medical University recognized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE for clinical and internship training. Our students will have the advantage to gain clinical training and business practice in all the hospital and clinics under the Thumbay group.
The Gulf Medical University and its Healthcare Division are both owned by the Thumbay Group which is unique to GMU. The establishment of the “Gulf Medical University Academic Health System” has allowed the integration of GMU’s triple mission of health professions education, research and clinical care at all levels.

Thumbay Labs was conceptualized in January 2013 and aims to provide a single solution for the diagnostic needs of the community.
Thumbay Labs is a chain of three CAP-accredited laboratories
These are:
- Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) located in the premises of Gulf Medical University Ajman
- Thumbay Labs located in the premises of Thumbay Hospital Dubai
- Thumbay Labs located in the premises of Thumbay Hospital Fujairah
- Thumbay Labs located in the premises of Thumbay Hospital Ajman -Accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI)
