Ajman: Gulf Medical University (GMU), in collaboration with Ajman Police, successfully conducted a Defensive Driving Awareness Training session aimed at strengthening road safety practices among drivers.

The training session brought together GMU drivers and Thumbay Group drivers, underscoring the critical importance of adopting defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and safeguard passengers, pedestrians, and the wider community.

Led by officers from Ajman Police, the awareness program featured real-life scenarios and practical strategies to help drivers reduce road risks, manage traffic rules responsibly, and respond effectively to unexpected situations on the road.

The initiative was organized by Mr. Jake, Safety Officer of GMU, as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to health, safety, and community well-being.

This awareness activity is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by reducing injuries and fatalities related to traffic accidents.
- SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by promoting safer, more responsible urban mobility.
Through this collaboration, GMU and Ajman Police reaffirm their shared mission of creating a safer and more sustainable community.
