International Conference on AI for Social Impact

Transforming Businesses, Healthcare, and Policy for Sustainable Development

Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents a pivotal frontier in contemporary research, inviting rigorous inquiry across disciplinary boundaries. Its multifaceted applications are redefining established paradigms of knowledge production and societal organisation. As scholars and practitioners convene to engage with AI’s expanding role, this conference seeks to foster critical dialogues that examine not only the technical dimensions of AI, but also its epistemological, ethical, and socio-economic implications. In doing so, we aim to chart a reflective and responsible trajectory for innovation that aligns with the imperatives of equity, sustainability, and human well-being.

Recognizing the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across diverse sectors, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college (IQAC, SRCC), in academic collaboration with Gulf Medical University (GMU), is organising an International Conference on the theme “AI for Social Impact: Transforming Business, Healthcare, and Policy for Sustainable Development”. The conference seeks to bring together academicians, researchers, scholars, and professionals to critically examine the multifaceted role of AI in shaping sustainable futures. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and evidence-based inquiry, the forum will explore how AI can be harnessed to promote inclusive innovation, strengthen institutional frameworks, and enhance human well-being in an increasingly data-driven world.

Bridging AI with Sustainable Development, Healthcare, and Business

The central objective of this conference is to investigate the intricate interconnections between sustainable development, healthcare, and business, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) serving as a catalytic and unifying force. While these domains differ in their operational frameworks, they converge on the shared imperatives of innovation, efficiency, and systemic resilience, principles that AI is uniquely positioned to enhance. Through interdisciplinary engagement, the conference aims to illuminate how AI can be strategically harnessed to foster equitable growth and enable the emergence of a technologically empowered society.

AI has already begun to redefine sectoral landscapes. Businesses are increasingly leveraging AI to elevate customer experiences, reduce inefficiencies, and stimulate economic momentum. Nonetheless, the rapid deployment of AI also raises critical concerns – ranging from data ethics and algorithmic bias to disparities in digital access – that demand rigorous scholarly and policy attention. Addressing these challenges is essential to ensure that AI driven transformation remains inclusive, accountable, and aligned with the broader goals of sustainable development.

From a policy standpoint, AI offers unprecedented opportunities to reshape governance and public administration by enabling data-driven, evidence-based decisionmaking. Governments can utilize AI to process vast datasets, identify societal trends, and develop anticipatory, adaptive policies across areas such as urban planning, environmental conservation, and crisis response. By enhancing the precision and effectiveness of public policy, AI holds the potential to strengthen institutional responsiveness and promote long-term sustainability. However, this transformative potential must be matched by the establishment of robust ethical standards and regulatory frameworks to mitigate risks related to bias, privacy, and accountability.
