Ms. Oya Onguc
Ms. Oya Onguc is a Lecturer in the General Education Department at Gulf Medical University. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Ankara University and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Bahcesehir University.
With more than 30 years of experience in English language teaching, curriculum design, teacher training, and educational leadership, she has inspired students and educators worldwide. She is the published author of a phonics series that helps children learn to read and write in English, and has delivered numerous presentations and training sessions on diverse ELT topics at international conferences.
Having spent her childhood in Australia, she brings a multicultural perspective to her teaching and leadership. Her strong research interests include educational technologies and AI in education, exploring how innovation can enhance learning and student engagement. At GMU, she is committed to empowering learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
