Ms. Áine Marie Binchy is a highly accomplished Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Neonatology at Galway University Hospital, Ireland, with more than three decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. She holds a Master of Science in Advanced Neonatal Nursing from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies, and is both a Registered Nurse Prescriber and certified X-ray Prescriber.
Her expertise spans neonatal intensive care, neonatal resuscitation, clinical education, and quality improvement, with a strong focus on family-integrated care. Áine plays a pivotal role in advancing neonatal services through initiatives such as neonatal safety hundles, simulation-based education, and the development of innovative resuscitation practices. She is also deeply committed to policy and guideline development, research, and mentorship, shaping the next generation of neonatal nursing leaders.
