Dr. Yasmin Mahmoud Aboul-Ela is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Gulf Medical University, UAE.
She earned her PhD in Pharmacology from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University in 2017, where she also obtained her Master’s degree in Pharmacology (2013) and MBBS (with honors, 2007). With more than fifteen years of academic and research experience, Dr. Aboul-Ela has contributed to pharmacology education and research across several institutions, including Ain Shams University, Galala University, and the Modern University for Technology and Information.

Her dedication to medical education is further reflected in her completion of a Professional Diploma in Medical Education (2024) and her recognition as a FAIMER Fellow through the ASU-MENA FAIMER Regional Institute (2024), a prestigious international program for leadership in health professions education.

Throughout her career, Dr. Aboul-Ela has played a key role in curriculum innovation and the adoption of interactive teaching methods in pharmacology, integrating active learning strategies and digital engagement tools to enhance student outcomes.

Her research portfolio includes publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, encompassing high-impact studies on neuropsychiatric disorders, metabolic diseases, and inflammatory pathways. She also serves as a reviewer for leading international journals, including Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy and Phytomedicine. Dr. Aboul-Ela’s work reflects a deep commitment to advancing both the science of pharmacology and the art of medical teaching.
