Professor Tatjana Ille has MD, MSc, and Ph.D. in Medicine and Biostatistics and Research in Medicine from the prestigious highly internationally ranked University of Belgrade, Serbia. She is board-certified in Dermatology and Venereology by Serbian Medical Chamber and has more than 15 years of experience in clinical medicine. As part of her education and residency, she completed at the University of Illinois Chicago, USA under the scholarship of the US government and worked. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Health Professions Education, has over 25 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate health professions students. At GMU she is teaching also Evidence-Based Medicine, following the very latest trend across medical universities worldwide. An active researcher with many publications in international peer-reviewed journals, chapters in Encyclopedia of Public Health (Springer, Germany), and monographs her current research interests are in fields of Diabetes, Obesity, and Cardiovascular disease. She is actively involved in research in UAE as co-investigator of ongoing research in GMU funded by the Al Jalila Research Foundation.

She holds the position of head of the General Education Department and coordinator for the ADPCS program.

From January 2018 has the position of Adjunct Professor in the MPH program at the University of Arizona, USA.
