Dr. Sherouk Nasser Mohamed Mohamed has joined the College of Nursing, GMU as an Assistant Professor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors (2015), a Master of Science in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing (2021), and a PhD in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing (2025) from the Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria University, Egypt.
Dr. Nasser began her professional career as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Mabera El-Asafra Hospital, Alexandria (2016–2021), and subsequently transitioned to academia, serving as a Demonstrator (2018–2021) and Assistant Lecturer (2021–2025) before becoming a Lecturer. She contributed extensively to teaching and academic administration, serving as Clinical Trainer for Undergraduate Emergency and Critical care nursing courses, Academic Coordinator and Laboratory Coordinator in the Critical Care Nursing Department, Staff Development Coordinator, and Academic Advisor.
Her research interest focuses on Critical and Emergency care nursing. Her publications include studies on pharyngeal oxygen saturation monitoring in shocked patients published in BMC Nursing (2022) and early rehabilitation interventions for prevention of ICU-acquired weakness (2025). She is also involved in ongoing research examining smartphone use in healthcare settings and its impact on patient safety.
In addition to her teaching and research roles, Dr. Nasser actively contributed to institutional quality assurance as a Coordinator in the Faculty Accreditation Quality Unit and as a member of the Quality Team since 2021. Through continuous professional development, conference participation, and scholarly engagement, she aimed to advance critical care nursing education, promote international collaboration, and contribute to global research in Critical care nursing.
