Dr. Sapna Shevade is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy in the College of Medicine at Gulf Medical University. She acquired a Master’s degree in Anatomy from Manipal University, India in the year 2007 and further completed a Ph.D. from D.Y. Patil University, India in the year 2016. Her research mainly focused on histopathology and histochemistry of the placenta. She has various publications in national and international indexed journals. She has attended and presented papers in many national conferences and workshops. She has been awarded Best Paper in MAHACON III and Saxena award for the best published paper by the Anatomical Society of India.
She has greatly contributed to academics and research and has over 10 years of experience teaching undergraduate students. She is a course chair and member of various modules across many programs in the University. She also involved in supervising undergraduate students in their research projects. Her areas of interest include Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry and organ donation.
