Teaching Assistant, Clinical Tutor
MBBS
MBA (Healthcare Management)
I am a dedicated healthcare professional with a background in medicine and healthcare management. I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Gulf Medical University and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Westford University, UAE, awarded by Abertay University, UK.
Currently, I serve as a Clinical Tutor at Gulf Medical University, where I play a pivotal role in training and mentoring medical students.
My responsibilities include conducting hands-on clinical skills sessions, guiding students in patient assessment techniques, and fostering critical thinking through case-based discussions and simulated patient interactions. A key aspect of my role is strengthening students’ communication skills, ensuring they develop confidence in patient interactions, history-taking, and delivering clinical explanations with clarity and empathy.
Beyond my role in medical education, I have gained extensive clinical experience through my internship at Dubai Health Authority (DHA), where I rotated across various medical and surgical specialties. Alongside my clinical and teaching responsibilities, I have a strong interest in research, particularly in medical education and student well-being. My research on the prevalence of depressive symptoms among undergraduate health sciences students, published in Cureus, reflects this commitment. Additionally, I have gained multiple certifications in Basic Life Support, Basic Surgical Skills, and Basic Orthopedic Skills, further strengthening my expertise. My passion lies in optimizing healthcare education and inspiring future medical professionals to develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in their careers.
