Dr. Omar Ashour is an Assistant Professor of Periodontics, at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, Ajman. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry in 2012, followed by a Master’s degree in Periodontics in 2018 and a Ph.D. in 2021 from the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, Egypt.
He began his academic career as a resident in periodontology at Cairo University in 2015 and later served as a Lecturer of Periodontology at the same institution. At Cairo University, Dr. Omar held several academic leadership roles, including Course Director of the 4th-year Periodontics Undergraduate Clinical Program within the Dental International Integrated Program (DIIP), and Course Coordinator of the 5th-year undergraduate Periodontics course. He also served as a clinical supervisor for Master’s and Ph.D. students, overseeing postgraduate research projects in periodontology. Additionally, Dr. Omar has also authored several publications in internationally recognized journals.
