Dr. Mohamed El Najid Mustafa Mohamed Tahir is a medical doctor, physiologist, medical education specialist, and a book writer. With extensive experience exceeding twelve years in teaching physiology, clinical skills, and research for undergraduate and graduate students, Dr. Najid brings strong leadership and a proven track record in medical health professions education. He holds two master’s degrees, one in human physiology and the other in medical education, and is currently pursuing his PhD in physiology.
His research includes neurophysiology, formative assessment in medical schools, and the development and validity of written assessment tools in health professions education, with several publications in international journals and contributions to academic books. Dr. Najid’s interests span student assessment, curriculum development, neurophysiology, and clinical skills education.
